Legal Cell of Barrackpore Police Commissionerate mainly deals with legal complications of various aspects which may be civil or criminal in nature. Apart from this, Legal Cell, BKPC also maintains a day-to-day monitoring of cases related to article 226 of the Constitutions of India which are heard before various benches of Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. It also takes a keen interest for implementation of various orders passed by Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta and Supreme Court of India from time to time. This Cell co-ordinates with all the Police Stations and the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta for defending the matter on behalf of the State of West Bengal. This Cell also deals with departmental service matters raised before Hon’ble West Bengal State Administrative Tribunal. With rise of digital crime, this Cell nowadays maintains co-ordination with the Hon'ble High Courts of other states and maintains uninterrupted liaison from both the sides for defending the matter on time and with proper resource before the concerned Hon'ble High Court.
