Justice Delivered: Life Imprisonment Awarded in Murder Case

In a significant judicial outcome, accused Nandalal Keshori has been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs. 10,000 by the Learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, 2nd Court, Barrackpore, on 30.07.2026, in connection with the murder of Akash Sonkar.

The case was registered as Naihati Police Station Case No. 154 dated 11.04.2021 under Sections 302/201 of the Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution was conducted by Learned Public Prosecutor Shri Shantanu Chakraborty, while investigation of the case was initially entrusted to SI Uttam Kumar Sarkar and was subsequently taken over by SI Tamal Das.
